How to Write a Teaching Philosophy

November 14, 2019 - 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM
Center for Graduate Life, Cone 268

Facilitated by Dr. Judith Krauss, Faculty Associate for Graduate Teaching

This workshop will present suggestions for writing a personal teaching philosophy. Teaching philosophies are often requested at academic job interviews and, even if you've never taught or are not yet seeking interviews, creating one can be a helpful exercise for your professional development. Participants will be encouraged to share best practices they encountered as students and explore their personal beliefs about how teaching should occur.

Open to all students and postdoctoral researchers.
