Over 1,000 graduate students will be honored with their higher education degree this May. This marks the 32nd year UNC Charlotte has awarded graduate degrees.
Graduate education at UNC Charlotte is flourishing and on the rise with over 150 programs in an array of interdisciplinary fields.
“My career in teaching and administration has taught me that each generation inevitably climbs on the shoulders of the next generation and pushes even harder against the boundaries of knowledge,” explains Tom Reynolds, Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate School. “As we continue to produce outstanding graduates we see more and more corporations, industry and academic institutions looking for UNC Charlotte master’s and Ph.D. degreed students among their new hires.”
Many graduate students will be on campus to participate in one of the three ceremonies to be held in the Dale F. Halton Arena Friday, May 12 through Saturday, May 13. For complete information visit the Commencement website. Family and friends will be able to spot their graduate student wearing the traditional black gowns as all undergraduate students will be wearing green robes.
Congratulations to all graduate students of the Class of 2017!
