Application for Degrees and Certificates must be completed on-line through Banner Self Service by the published deadlines or the student will have to apply for the next available graduation. The Application for Candidacy forms for master's, doctoral, and certificate students must be approved by the academic program's Graduate Coordinator/Director or the Dean of the College prior to submitting it to the Graduate School for review. A Doctoral Dissertation or Master's Thesis must be submitted in final form by the published deadlines or the student will be cleared for the next available graduation.
Applicants will be notified via email if additional information is needed in order to be cleared for graduation.
It should also be noted that a student must be enrolled in the semester or summer term in which he/she expects to graduate.
Caps and gowns are available at the Campus Bookstore several months prior to commencement. Information about commencement is available on the campus Graduation Information website.

Doctoral Dissertation and Masters Thesis Deadlines 2009-2010

Graduation Fee: Each member of the graduating class is automatically charged a graduation fee of $57 at the time he/she applies for the degree and/or certificate. (Note: If a student needs to change his/her graduation term for any reason to a subsequent semester, the student must resubmit an application for degree and/or certificate.) This fee includes the cost of the diploma/certificate, the cap and gown, and the hood for graduate degree students. No reduction of the fee is allowed for those receiving degrees in Absentia.
