Powerpoint presentations from the Graduate Program Coordinator's Meeting: Tips of the Trade for Successful Recruiting.
As published in the Graduate Catalog, all new doctoral students are required to enroll in the non-credit bearing course, Academic Integrity, GRAD 8990. This online course consists of an informative reading and a brief quiz. Students should allow a minimum of two hours to complete the module. Once a student passes the quiz, and at the end of the term, a grade of "N" (non-graded) will be recorded on their official UNC Charlotte transcript.
In the Fall 2004 semester, the Graduate School, ProQuest/UMI and the Atkins Library teamed up to pilot a project for the submission of electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs). The initial stage of the ETD program is completely voluntary and open to doctoral students in any discipline. Rather than submitting a dissertation to the Graduate School on 100% cotton paper, students now have the option of electronically submitting an Adobe Acrobat PDF file via a Web interface to satisfy all Graduate School requirements. For information, visit the ETD webpage.
