Academic Integrity/RCR

Academic Integrity

As published in the Graduate Catalog, all new doctoral students are required to enroll in the non-credit bearing course, Academic Integrity, GRAD 8990. This online course consists of an informative reading and a brief quiz. Students should allow a minimum of two hours to complete the module. Once a student passes the quiz, and at the end of the term, a grade of "N" (non-graded) will be recorded on their official UNC Charlotte transcript.  View the course presentation on the Center for Graduate Life website.

Responsible Conduct of Research

UNC Charlotte is committed to ensuring that doctoral students understand their obligations as researchers.  All first year doctoral students in science, math, engineering or technology are required to enroll in GRAD 8002 - Responsible Conduct of Research.  This two credit course prepares students for a range of research related issues.  The course is offered on Friday afternoons in the spring semester.
